Kwik Coasters & Bag

It's a snap to make these coasters with your embroidery machine!  Just follow these easy instructions:

Download the coaster files by clicking on the lemonade
Click here to download SHV format
Load one of the coaster files along with a design that fits within the satin stitch border into your machine.  Be sure you checked the size before you choose your design!
Hoop tearaway stabilizer; stitch the color 1 outline directly on your hooped stabilizer.
Make a fabric sandwich with your coaster fabric on top, a stable woven fabric on bottom, and a filler in between (felt or fleece or even terry cloth - be inventive!).  Use sticky spray to hold everything together, if you wish.  Place fabric sandwich on top of the outline and proceed to next color.
Stitch color 2 outline on fabric sandwich to tack down the fabric; skip color 3 for now and proceed with your design.   Remove hoop from machine and trim fabric sandwich
just inside the outline created by color 1.  Replace hoop, then continue with color 3.
Stitch color 3 satin stitch border last. Tear finished coaster away from stabilizer. Press from the back, if necessary. You may want to apply a circle of thin cork, plastic, or vinyl to the bottom of the coaster if you want to create a moisture barrier. Be creative and have fun with these!

Here are some ideas for coasters
