Instructions for Trudi's Coaster Bag. Copyright 2001 Trudi Koch and Teri Sullivan www.sewterific.com These measurements are approximate. They can be adjusted as you go, if necessary. 1. Cut one piece of fabric for bag and one piece for lining, 5" x 10". (if you make 6 coasters, you might want to cut it 6 x 10 ) 2. Finished flap is about 2 1/2 inches deep, so if you're going to embroider the word "coasters", do that first. 3. Right sides together, stitch across the top of the bag and down 4" of each side. Clip to the stitching on each side. Turn and press. 4. Baste across the other end just to hold together. Now make a narrow double hem and topstitch. 5. Turn up bottom of bag (approx 3" ) right sides together and stitch up both sides, turn, press, and you're done. You could add ribbon and tie shut, or you could add velcro. The velcro would have to be sewn on before turning up the bottom. When you cut your fabric, just lay the coasters on it and fold as it will be when its finished, and that will help you. If you have questions, ask. They are so easy to make. Trudi (trudi@centurytel.net)
